ESA Bike Fit Workshop: Creating Optimal Movement for Every Rider

Learn professional bike-fitting skills from home — and turn your knowledge into income.

Our ESA-funded weekend workshop ($499) teaches kids how to fit bikes safely, improve performance, and start helping others in their community.

Section 1: Learn Skills. Help Others. Earn Income.

Bike Fit AZ’s Virtual Bike Fit Weekend Clinic is more than a cycling class — it’s a gateway to real-world experience and entrepreneurship.

Designed for students ages 12–18, this interactive online program teaches the science of bike fitting, body alignment, and cycling ergonomics. After completion, students will have the knowledge and confidence to help friends, family, and even local bike shops with proper bike setups.

Led by Michael Lovegren, M.S. in Exercise Science (Biomechanics) and author of Bike Fit: Creating Optimal Movement, each live weekend session combines hands-on learning, real-time feedback, and practical tools to build future community leaders in cycling.

Students Will Learn How To:

  • Perform a professional-level bike fit assessment
  • Adjust saddle height, handlebar reach, and cleat position
  • Identify common fitting issues (knee pain, back strain, etc.)
  • Communicate findings clearly to riders or customers
  • Turn bike-fit skills into community service or part-time income
